What is CS2N?
CS2N is an online destination for students and teachers where they can find engaging activities designed to teach students of all ages on how to program robots, animations, web pages, and games.
How can a teacher use CS2N?
CS2N offers teachers in formal and informal education a fully functioning learning management system where students can log in and take classes. This fall teachers will be able to create groups that enable them to track their students progress through one of CS2N’s activities. Currently we are testing group functionality with the LEGO and VEX robotics courses, by the fall we will have group functionality available for teachers that want to host their own storytelling and animation or web development competitions. Read the section on groups below to learn more.
What are CS2N Badges and Certifications? How can I get Certified?
CS2N uses badges to both motivate and assess a student’s learning. The following activities are currently badge-able: Robots in Motion, CS2N Learn Courses, Robot Virtual Worlds, Animation Competitions, and Web Design.
The CS2N Learn courses have activities that give our badges upon various student successes. Once a Teacher is "Certified", the teacher can them use the course themselves and have their own students go through these materials. If you are interested in our Certification program, you can view our Online and On-Site schedule offered through the Robotics Academy.

I'm a teacher, how do I get started?
The first thing that you need to do is to determine what activity you want your students to work and where the appropriate age level is. Some activities, like SAM animation and LEGO robotics, are appropriate and fun for all age levels. Some activities will need scaffolding. The chart below is a general guide that you can use to determine the correct grade level for the activity.
