This Earth Day the world is looking to you to take charge of charges, conduct the conductors, and wield the power of all the power as you become the Energy Boss! You have been elected as the boss of all of the world's energy! How should Earth use it? How much does it need? What types of energy should we use?
We are so excited to introduce our newest CS2N competition for Earth Day called "Energy Boss!"
This competition is a research project that could be used by Science, Computer Science, and English teachers or for students who are interested in learning more outside of the classroom. Students need to research the topic of energy and present an argument for how the world should best use energy. There are no "wrong" answers, as the reports are rated based on research and support for the research. Students must create their entry in one of the following software programs: Alice 2.3 or Scratch. The deadline for this competition is April 30, 2013.
CS2N Competitions are deadline-driven projects completed by students and evaluated by students. Students, of every age and background, are able to participate, evaluate, and learn. In addition, the competition provides students an opportunity for a practical application of STEM skills. You can find more information here - CS2N Competitions.
What other things will you be doing for Earth Day this year?
