Halfway Point: Seven Weeks Left Until Animation Competition Deadline!


Hi everyone-


There is still time to submit to our animation competition: “Save the World in 60 Seconds!”  The deadline for submission is May 6, 2012.

Students, hobbyists, and professionals are invited to create and share an animated message about how they would reduce, recycle, and reuse to make the world a better place.


Each winner will receive a free copy of ROBOTC Virtual Worlds.  Animation submissions will be accepted through May 6, 2012.  Competition winners will be announced on June 5th.




Alice or SAM - How do I choose?


Alice uses programming to create an animation for telling a story, playing an interactive game, or a video to share on the web.  Students will learn/improve upon coding skills while using Alice.

SAM Animation is an intuitive desktop program that uses a standard webcam to capture images.  Students will learn/improve upon planning skills while using SAM Animation

Other Software: You may use any other program or technique to create your animation – upload it in the SAM Animation version of the competition here.
